Uganda is divided into four regions. The regions of Uganda are known as
Central Region
Western Region
Eastern Region
Northern Region
Districts of Uganda
These four regions are in turn divided into districts. There were 56 districts in 2002, which expanded into 112 districts plus one city (Kampala) by 2010. Uganda is divided into 112 districts across 4 administrative regions. Most districts are named after their main commercial and administrative towns. 11 new districts were formed on 1 July 2006. Each district is further divided into sub-districts, counties, sub-counties, parishes and villages. The top selected administrator in a district is the Chairperson of the Local Council V. These are the different districts in the 4 different regions of Uganda.
